Easy to install

Headway theme is very easy to install. Once I took care of some “back office” things, like adding an RSS feed address and Google Analytics script, which Headway makes very easy, I was into the design phase.Not like the thesis theme, you have to save the changes and then open a new window for a preview.

If you follow the new Headway items in the Appearance tab in the order they appear, you can set up all the options of your site very quickly and easily.The drag-and-drop design and “leaf” features make this theme very easy to customize, especially if you watch the brief videos on the Headway web site. The ability to pick colors for various parts of the site is also very nice. You’re pretty much only limited by your imagination when it comes to site design – Headway takes care of the hard stuff.

Good SEO

This is a very important part for a wordpress theme! As I stated before, I’m not a SEO or CSS guru, but Headway helped me design a fairly nice site with minimal effort and I got it on the first page of Google in just a few days. While that may not be a big deal for some of you, it is huge for me and I attribute that success directly to Headway’s easy to use SEO options. Of course, you can use the all-in-one-seo plugin,which is a popular wordpress seo plugin, but you can do seo without seo plugin if you use headway theme.For those who don’t do CSS, this was very easy: it was basically copying and pasting a couple of lines of code into a file using the WordPress Edit Themes feature (really, don’t be scared to try to customize a feature!) If you want to make your site more beautiful, you still need to do some graphic work.

Other features that I like include the built-in ability to send new posts to Twitter and the ready-made links that allow visitors to your site to connect with you on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. The ability to add a navigation tab link to my blog on another domain was also incredibly easy.

Support

The headway theme is powerful and the support has also been great. There were some features that I wanted to customize further, e.g., text size and title case in some leafs. Using the forum on the Headway site, I received help from Clay Griffiths, one of the designers of Headway, usually within a few hours. Also,the documentation is available and there is a forum for users to discuss any issues and share idea, you can get help from there.

Bottom line, Headway wordpress theme is a bargain that is sure to give the other custom themes a run for their money. Get it NOW!
