Enjoying a leisurely wade in the waters of the Dutch undergrowth this grey heron decided to go in search of lunch when he came across this unsuspecting black rabbit.Undeterred by its size, the grey heron, the largest bird of its kind in Europe, swooped down and gobbled the rabbit up in one mouthful, as these pictures show.

Martin Amm is a genius. He’s my idol. I saw his pics on photo.net and I swear, they just blew me away! He said his favorite photos are animals and landscapes, which just happen to be my favorites — animals and landscapes! If ever I become a good photographer, this guy’s photos will be the standard by which I would judge my own work. He’s got breathtaking shots of landscapes and other insects as well, but the ones that really made my jaw drop were these dew-covered insects. They look like bugs with bling.

The Atlas moth (Attacus Atlas) is is a large moth found in the tropical and subtropical forests of Southeast Asia, southern China, common across the Malay archipelago, Thailand to Indonesia.
These moths are considered the largest in the world in terms of total wing surface area (65 square inches). In Hong Kong the Cantonese name translates as “snake’s head moth”, referring to apical extension of the forewing, which bears a passing resemblance to a snake’s head.
Another interesting characteristic of the Atlas moth is that it doesn’t have fully developed mouth-parts, so it can’t feed…ever. It survives on the larval fat reserves, throughout their entire 1-2 weeks adult lives.
Dogs need 4 legs to walk…or do they?
Well most of them do, but not wonder dog Faith. She was born with deformities,(the biped dog vedio ) she only had one front leg and it had to be removed when she was 7 months because it was starting to atrophy. But thanks to the care of her adoptive owners Faith managed to survive and grow into an amazing dog. She learned to move by using only her 2 remaining legs, but, according to her owners although it was a very difficult process, it was also natural.
