One of the most sought treasures along the coastline are Japanese glass floats. Discovering a rare color, a different shape or one perfectly intact excites many a beachcomber or treasure hunter. Seaweed, driftwood, seashells and even agates are a dime a dozen when compared to finding a glass float.


LG Korea has announced the 42LP1DR 42″ HD compatible TV. The 42″ Xcanvas has an integrated 160GB hard drive for recording your favourite shows. It can report upto 13 hours of HD TV programming and 63 hours of SD class programming. Also included 9 in 1 Memory card reader which reads almost every possible memory card (CF / MD / SD / SMC / MMC / MS / MS Pro / Magic Store / Xd-Picture). It can play MP3 files and also display images directly from the memory card. Pricing and availability information is not known yet.
It’s a touch screen phone; and is controlled primarily by its 2.8-inch display but slides out a keypad for dialing by hand. In addition to its media player and microSD slot, the Glimmer is also fast enough to drive 3D games and supports a 2-megapixel camera. Assisted GPS mapping is supported through a custom Alltel app. The LG phone also plays host to multiple extra Alltel-specific features despite its Linux-based, Flash-driven OS, including live streaming video over 3G through Axcess TV.
It seems the iPod nano isn’t getting a good rapport in Japan. Japan’s trade and economy ministry is now officially investigating the explosive nature of the iPod nano. The culprit is model MA099J/A — AKA, the old black and white plastic model already reported to spew “chest high flames,” cause bedroom fires, and explode across the floor.
According to the Financial Times on 28 Feb, 2008 report by Gartner, Apple has made it to the number 10 spot for the fourth quarter sales of handsets in 2007. Apple’s 0.6% market share earned it this position in its first year as a mobile phone manufacturer.
