I can only imagine what horrible thing must have happened to the calloused bastards who felt compelled to exchange the kind of reprehensible commentary that is on display here. While I know that the internet (like the real world) is a cruel place, my heart really goes out to these troubled individuals who clearly lack the necessary empathy, tact, and social skills to be a part of the human race. My only hope is that this inspirational little girl can become the perfect metaphor for those tortured souls: people can heal, and overcome adversity with beauty, grace, and courage.

What I failed to mention is that I laughed my ass off the whole time I was reading the comments. I must admit, I truly am nothing more than a hypocrite who pretends to have no sense of humor. I enjoy riding my high-horse and pretending that I can’t find humor or happiness without it being 100% politically correct, and instead derive my enjoyment from making others out to be beneath me because they appear to have a sense of humor that differs from mine.
