And OK, sure, we know it’s not really any of our business. But when the internets start buzzing ’bout celebri-babies, well, Pedro has to take notice.Scanning the fan message boards today, it looks like the rumor started after some fans noticed what they thought was  little extra curve to her belly on Tuesday night, and added that to her comment to host Ryan Seacrest about having just gone to the bathroom before her performance.

Because, you know, if you’re not rail thin and you occasionally go to the bathroom, well, you must be pregnant, right?

In any case, the message boards started buzzing right after the show, with comments like: “Her dress was lumpy, so it was hard to tell.  Oh, I hope she is pregnant.  I want to see a pregnant Idol. ”

 Or: “Not trying to spread rumors–was looking at some AI pics at TMZ…and Carly was wearing a bright purple top when they were out and about (to a photo shoot?) and she looked like she had a baby bump.”

Apparently the buzz grew great enough that when Carly appeared on the show Wednesday night Seacrest asked her point blank what the deal was — and Carly said it’s a bunch of blarney, she’s no more pregnant than Pedro.

So there you have it.
